By car
Take the C-13 road to the junction with the Torrassa reservoir and from there, take the LV-5004 to the village of Espot.
In summer, you can drive to the parking lot at the entrance of the Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici National Park (Meadow of Pierró). From here, you can follow a well-marked trail on foot to Sant Maurici Lake ("The chamois route", 1 hour) and, from Sant Maurici to Amitges, continue on another well-marked track (1.45 hours).
There is the option of taking the Taxi service (+34 973 624 105) to go up to Sant Maurici, Ratera Lake, or the refuge itself.
From December 1st to Easter, it is not possible to drive to the parking lot due to the snow and the ice that may cover the road. Only taxis and authorized vehicles can go up. You must leave your car in Espot.
By public transport
From Lleida or Barcelona, take the Alsa bus, to the Torrassa reservoir (C-13), between the towns of Escaló and La Guingueta. The detour to Espot is located here (8 km). From Espot to the park entrance there are 4 km.
From the bus stop to Espot and the park entrance, there is no regular public transport service. Therefore, if you have not arranged a Taxi service, you will have to walk or hitchhike these stretches of road.
Park Bus from 21/6 to 30/9
In summer, the Park Bus connects Espot with the Val d'Aran, Boí, and La Pobla de Segur. The service is also provided by the Alsa company.
